Amazon's New Vinyl of the Month Subscription
Whether you are nostalgic for the sound or you are an avid collector, vinyl LPs have made a huge comeback over the past couple of years, with just a 29% increase in sales in 2020 alone. Vinyls are so hot that Amazon is getting a piece of the action with their new Vinyl of the Month Club.
Amazon's newest subscription is a $25 a month plan where you receive a mystery record from the “Golden Era of Vinyl” (1960s and 70s) all hand picked by Amazon Music curators. You'll get albums by Pink Floyd, Aretha Franklin, The Clash, and ABBA, so if you’re new to vinyl collecting this may be a good way to start.
You can return a record as long as it's unopened and undamaged. If you're unfamiliar with the artist or album, a good tip would be to listen to it on a streaming service before ripping the plastic wrap off. You can also skip a month or just cancel at any time. The subscription cost includes shipping, and you don't have to be a Prime member to sign up.
Although you don’t need a Prime membership for this amazing subscription, you are gonna need a good quality turntable to play these records. Here at Electronics Expo, we have a top of the line selection of turntables from Audio Technica, Denon, and Thorens. If you want to check out all of our great turntables just click here.
